I want to buy a top of the range integrated AEG dishwaher. I have found one site which offers it the cheapest and with free delivery. But all my other net purchases have been for smaller amounts, so I am more cautious with this. I am not sure I can write the url but they are called Discount Appliances. Has anyone ever dealt with them? They rank #1 on both google and yahoo but not sure that means much? As there are so many e-tailers offering discounted appliances its hard to know which company to choose. There used to be a which web scheme to protect consumers is there anything like that now?

A few hopefully useful points:

'Ranking' no.1 on a search engines means very little with regard to a site's trustworthiness, so don't take that as a sign of relaiability.

Which? closed their scheme last year, but there are some alternatives: imrg hallmark, trustUK and safebuy.

I would be happy to spend money with the website you alluded to. They have a reasonably professional looking site and appear to have been around for a while. Not sure what malpractice you are worried about, but if you purchase with a credit card not only are you not responsible for any fraudulent activity but you probably also have a guarantee on the goods - check your CC small print. Also, if they are authorised dealers for a specific brand, then any grievances can be taken up with the manufacturer.

Thanks for that srd. I gave them a call today and was really suprised how helpfull they were, not what I expected from an Internet company. So I ordered on the phone and its being delivered next week.
