I may need to remove some wall lights to allow me to repair the plaster around them.

What is the best way to cover the live wires whilst the plaster would be drying?

Thx.

Screw wire-ends into small connector blocks..........cover connector blocks in tape (almost any sort will suffice).

thank you. that was what i was thinking but didnt know if there was a better way.
blocks 'n' tape it is.
Since it is only temporary, insulation tape alone should suffice – ensure that any bare wires have at least two layers of tape wrapped over them.
... and if it is sockets for lighting or plug outlets you are talking about, cut cardboard squares out that will press over the cables into the box. This will prevent plaster getting everywhere in the box.
