i have a 25 year old back boiler still working if i have a combi boiler installed will i require new radiators ?
(approx same age) . due to husbands ill health the less disruption the better. Thankyou in anticipation.
to reduce the pressure, get a condensing heat only vented boiler, with a new hot cylinder, complete with new TRV rad valves , have the system pressure washed before the boiler is finally put in to place, removal of rads for separate wash out would help if the system has never had any inhibitors or flushes . I would have a few quotes for this, though maybe the new boiler scheme may help with the finance HTH Tez.
baxi have now introduced a condensing back boiler, you could keep your old pipework and rads if they are in good condition but you prob would need a new cylinder and thermostatic valves, your programmer and other controls may also need upgrading
