How can I best appeal against my 11-year-old son not beinig admitted to our local church school?

Difficult to tell without knowing the admission policy of the school. Many church schools have governors' places that are allocated according to a set list of criteria that are set out in the policy. Applicants accrue points according to how well they fit the criteria. Membership of the church to which the school is affiliated usually carries most points. If you post further details I may be able to give you further advice.
