New Iron!

just bought a new Iron frm Asda's, Russell Hobbs, followed the instructions to the letter, ironing an old towel 1st to get rid of whatever covering they put on it for protection, ironed a white t-shirt and got a dirty black mark on the bottom of my iron, won't come off, stuck like glue, now scared to iron anything else!!!!!
tried to clean with white vinegar (as instructed in book) no such luck any idea's before i take is back?

nail varnish remover is very good for removing sticky residue so its worth a try.

i would take it back before using nail varnish remover (acetone) explain what happened take the towel and t-shirt with you and ask them their advice you may find there just swop it over for a new one
