As Dennis says..adjust the ball valve...If it's a brass one, just bend the arm... forcing the float down. This will increase the pressure on the washer, and may seal it.
If it's a plastic valve you wil need to adjust the nut and threaded screw,
Personally I never adjust them, because the inlet valve often wont seat on the new washer...I just replace them...They cost less than a fiver as a rule and it's quicker to change the whole thing than it is to replace a washer..!
.....Dont forget to turn the water off...!
