Leather sofa

Bought a new tan leather sofa. Firstly i find that the layer of dust on a sofa is easily seen even within a day. Is that correct as a i surmise it is dust as it can be wiped away. secondly how to i maintain it. does it need waxing and what should i do to keep it shiny and happy

Hi Yes it can be dusted off, as long as you are using a clean duster/cloth.  Don't use any polish or cleaning products etc.   You can also use a damp cloth (just clean warm water) and rub that over as well.  You can also buy specialist leather cleaner for suites, you could ask where you bought it from.

just ordinary baby wipes but not Johnsons

Please Please DO NOT USE BABY WIPES as using baby wipes damages the leather over a period of time the leather begins to crack (I learned the hard way).  The best way to clean your sofa is damp cloth, warm water.
