which greenhouse?

I'm not really what you would call a keen gardener although I do like to potter. We have a nice base where an old shed has been taken down and I'm thinking of getting a small greenhouse for me and my son to grow a few vegetables and seeds. I've looked around and am amazed at the choice and price range of green houses so if someone could give some tips on what to look out for that would be very helpful.
1. am I best sticking with glass, a lot of them to buy online seem to be polycarbonate but I've never seen one of these.
2. although it may only need to last a few years are the cheaper ones very flimsy, I don't want it to rattle or blow down in the first storm.
3. would you recommend getting a separate base or is it ok just fastened to the floor?
4. are the green frames less likely to rust than the aluminium ones?

Measure the concrete base and take the measurements with you to a decent Garden Centre and compere the Prices of Greenhouses they have in stock. Go for Glass Panes as they will last for donkeys years compared to other materials which will deteriorate with the weather in time.

Aluminium frames and glass are best by far on a concrete footing and inside have a soil border with a paving stone path in the centre, then two cedar wood slatted benches to put your seed trays on, and you`re set up.Good gardening.

I agree on glass as you can clean it up in Spring for the summer so looks nice and clean and it lasts years.

For appearance a cedar greenhouse takes some beating.They may be dearer but they don't require much maintenance, nothing to rot, rust or oxydise. I would also go for glass every time.
Nowadays most things can be grown in Growbags so the floor doesn't matter much. Just a few slabs down the middle to walk on . The benches on both sides will be used for growbags , pots, and seed trays.
There is one very important thing , roof lights to maintain adequate ventilation. A greenhouse heats up very quickly and will overheat without plenty of roof ventilation.
I have windows on all sides and the door but it is not enough. I wish I could open up roof windows.
