The drawing needs to show the building (or whatever) at one hundredth of the real size. So, for example, a room which is 6m (=600cm) long must be 6cm long on the drawing.

i was never good at maths, but i think my picture must have been to big, so im going to start again and do a smaller one. thank you, is there anywhere i could buy some scale paper etc so it would be easier

Just take the real measurements and divide them by 100. So if it's one metre in real life, then it's one centimetre in the drawing.

Simply head down to your local office stationers (such as Staples) and buy some graph paper:

you can also buy a scale ruler that has the real life measurements marked out at all the different scales so you don't need to do the maths
