How should we dispose of small batteries - such a the AA and AAA sizes and others used in toys, torches, radios, clocks, remote controls etc? It's hardly realistic to expect one to travel miles to a recycling centre to dispose of maybe just a handful of small batteries. I guess that most get chucked in the dustbin. Does anyone have an answer to this or know of a convenient local disposal arrangement that might be copied in other places?
