Repairs-whats reasonable?
5 Answers
My land lord wants to carry out some long awaited repairs(new windows) but wants to pay the builders by the day(cheap for him he thinks)So he wants the builders to have access to the house from 6AM to 6PM.Is there anything I can do about this as I dont think its that reasonable. It should only be for 3 days but he wont listen when I say about taking kids to school, appointments etc and think maybe 9 AM is more fitting.Any advice??
Thanks all

Thanks all,you have put my mind at ease slightly.Good idea writing to him,and I will keep a copy too. From the last lot of 'quotes' he got, there where a few Polish workers.Maybe they are willing to work silly hours.......
By the day sounded odd to me,what if the job magicly(and the state of the windows,I would not be surprised)got bigger and more complex.
Oh well thanks again!-think it will be us going to the pub(maybe I can bribe them to stay away till 9! he he he ;-))
snooze well everyone
