We have an external door which leads from the front yard to the back yard but when it is windy it is prone to slam open and closed if it is not secured properly. Is there any sort of a device that can be fitted or can anyone think of a way to stop it from slamming as I'm worried it could hurt someone at some stage. I'm thinking something might be able to be fitted that would cause it to close slower if left unsecured.

I can jam it open easily with a mat and can lock it, but the problem is someone forgets to do it.

None of those look like they would fit. The door is fitted like a door inside a house, rather than a gate. I wonder is there anything like a spring that could be perhaps fitted between the hinges of the door and between the door and the frame? So that the door would only close when pushed closed.
Just fit a door closer/regulator. Probably find one at local tip, as they are quite dear.
Fit a spring-type wedge to hold open. This is fitted to door.
Google "garage door stay" you can smaller ones for house doors. They automatically latch open and you pull a cord to release.
