In my opinion go for Gas every time on the basis of cost of running.

I've owned 2 Gas tumble dryers over the past 10 years - cheap to run, highly efficient and very relaible. Yes, there are considerations regarding ventilation on account of it being a gas appliance.  I do not believe you can use a condenser or that there are condenser versions available. Standard 4 inch vent is not a great problem vs. approx 1/5 per load of the running costs of an electric dryer. They also cost slightly more to purchase.

Gas, vented, every time.
