Has anyone used one of those gagets that compress wet newspaper into bricquettes for burning? Are they any good, are they worth the work? etc. etc. Thank you

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.These things do work but you will find that it is a time thing. You have to produce the bricks and then they have to dry out. If you have an airy storage area there will be no problem. I would imagine you would have to build up a stock of these bricks during the summer and use the in the winter.
