roof tile moved = hole
6 Answers
hey I just bought this house which is going to have some renovation but due to planning will take 2 months to start work. The house has really bad damp due to poor roof they are orginal clay 1900 tile with some parts felted some not. I noticed a tile has moved to leave quite large hole.
I would a) like to know what would casue a tile the move all the others are intact it is on an edge it has not fallen off it has just moved completely could this be human interaction or natural.
and b) due to the wait of two months I dont want the house to get even damper in this bad weather, I know nothing about roofs but I think alot of the loft is boarded if I go up and see the whole could I in theory move the tile back by hand?
