Boy and Girl Sharing a bedroom ?

What age is it that boys and girls must have their own bedrooms ? I have twins (boy and girl) and cant find any info on sharing a bedroom ?

Depends.

Legally there is no age limit on siblings sharing a bedroom.

However, if you live in council or housing association accommodation, then you may be eligible for rehousing once your children reach 13 years, although this depends on the availability of housing stock.

I was brought up in a two bedroom council house and shared a bedroom with my brother until I was 16 and he was 13.  I never thought anything of it.  My parents could then afford to buy a 3 bedroom house.  Because no big deal was made of it, we never gave it a thought.

Hgrove, there is no legal age.

Councils award points when assessing housing needs if different sex siblings share a bedroom.  But it is up to the individual council to decide what level of importance they place on this issue, and at what age this becomes important. There are no national guidelines, and there are certainly no regulations that would cover private homes as opposed to public housing.
