I just had a parcel delivered to my address that isn't for me or my partner. On phoning the carrier (Interlink) they told me to open the parcel and look for an invoice from the sender and contact them directly.
I opened the parcel to find 3 large bottles of liquid plant food, some strange looking pellets and some very high watt light bulbs, but no invoice. I googled the name on the plant food hoping to find a phone number for the supplier and was led to many sites who advise on the cultivation of cannabis, so i'm assuming that this equipment is for that purpose. My oh insisted I ring the police so I have done so and they are sending someone round to pick up the stuff.
Have I done the right thing or not? I'm now panicking because I know who the parcel was actually intended for and he lives around the corner from me. Our address is 8 **** street and his is 8 **** Court and we are always getting their post delivered here.
I don't want this to come back at me if he is some big time grower who realises his parcel was delivered to my house by mistake (and I grassed on him) when the police go knocking on his door.
Its not as if i'm even against anyone smoking the stuff even though I don't do so myself.
:-/
This can be used for normal indoor plant growth. To phone the police is a bit extreme. If you knew who it was for, why not drop it round instead of wasting police time?
Not much you can about it now. The police probably wouldn`t tell the person who`s address the goods were sent to. I would hope they would protect your anonymity.
Can't see anyone has done anything wrong, really.
Bit OTT tho Daffy : )
That stuff will just add to the Police local "intelligence" whatever they "like" it to be called.
He won't do anything tho. They like to keep quiet and appear to be respectable people. They might even BE respectable.
I didn't drop it round because it is a heavy parcel and I can't carry it. Also the last time I took something round there they were very rude to me.
I didn't want to phone the police but my oh insisted I did :(
ummmm she said she knew who the parcel was for.
