Non flowering honey suckle and jasmine

last year I moved the above to each side of an arbour.


Although they grew with great gusto only the jasmine flowered,and even that was minimal.


Does any one have any tips on what I should do next ?

Honeysuckles are tricky little blighters - they either do really well, or don't - for no reason that I have found so far.  We planted one by the side of my Mum's pergola last year in a raised bed and covered it in manure and it did really well.  However, there is also one in really poor, dry soil under a magnolia tree that flowers profusely every year - it has been there ages.  So try the manure, and if that doesn't work just be patient as they seem to get there eventually!
