I know i should prob type this question in animals and nature but i never get many replys there.
So anyway heres the problem i noticed 2 weeks back that we have a new addition to the family FLEAS! Ive never had them in the house before so was extremly annoyed.
I changed both the cats flea collars and gave them both a treatment of frontline, i also bought 8 flea bombs off ebay @ £30!
After doing all of this and vaccuming regularly and washing all bedding etc i have woken this morning to find out my partner has had 6 fleas land on his foot/ankles
Please help me does anyone have any tips or treatments that work 100% i cant afford to keep buying these things that dont work, its expensive @ £30 a time plus frontline @ £14 a time and flea collars @ £4+

Why are they dangerous?
Hmm i used the bob martin flea fumigation pack last saturday i put 1 bomb in each room and closed the door, had to leave the house for 2-4 hours then when you come back run in undo all windows and leave the house again for 30 mins
I thought this had done the trick i guess not :(

The best product I have used is RIP...it's available in Vets or online...not cheap, but it worked. I had a HUGE infestation a few years ago when a neighbours cat got in...my own moggy at the time was an indoors cat. I sprayed every room...and vacuumed several times a day. It will take a week or so-but with that and Frontline-the cycle will be broken. RIP will then continue to work for 6 months.
You need to get to the vets pdq tomorrow morning and buy a house clearance spray (or the bombs suggested here). What's happening is that the fleas are lying in wait (like at the edge of the sofa in the carpet) then hopping out when your BF walks past - classic flea behavious.
Please don't use frontline AND a flea collar on your cats - no need for both, you will be overdosing them on flea treatement - and I have said before that I would NEVER put a collar on any of my cats ever again, after Rover hearly hung himself when he got his collar caught in a hook. There are so many stories of cats getting caught on bushes and trees and the collar strangling them, even if they are elastic collars. Frontline or Advocate will do the trick - no need for a collar as well.

This is the best stuff I have ever used for getting rid of fleas around the home. Treating the animal but not the home is counter-productive as the animals will be reinfested by the fleas in furnishings etc. Fleas can live in carpets and soft furnishings for a very long time!
