Who Can I Complain To
15 Answers
I have recently moved house and my neighbours and i are receiving BBC & ITV Wales but before the switchover i believe we were all receiving BBC & ITV North West. Our landlord (the council) wont do anything about having the aerial realigned to the correct transmitter. Please help who can i complain to, i mean i have nothing against the Welsh but i prefer to know the news about my area rather than Wales.
Thanks in advance

I know what you mean Bob :o). Don't complain as such but try appealing to your council's better nature - difficult I know in these times of cutbacks. Have you got a local office & can you and maybe one or two others get to it? Always better face to face, & try and speak to someone mature (ie with common sense). Persistence is all with the councils, I know from helping others to sort out problems that had been dismissed at first. Good luck, hope you get you tele back! :o)
Thanks headwreck but why should we have to pay for something the council should do, we are already paying full TV Licence fee for a shared aerial because they wont join the ARC scheme, and i can tune my own tele it's the aerial that is in the wrong position.
And thanks to robinia i don't think they have a better nature we are all OAP's stuck in a block of bungalows, who the council want to have little to do with.

If you have freeview you may find the programme you are looking for on a different station. We live in Wales but have always received North West programmes but since the change over we now get Wales but still get the others on a different channel You could always get your own aeriel if this doesnt work and I know you say why should you but the council doesnt care which programmes you want to watch you are still getting programme .

Thank you all who answered my query, Eddie!! i do have a digital TV with Freeview so no set-top box required, we were getting N West before the switchover, the channels are not anywhere else, it is just that when the contractor for the council put a new digital (COMMUNAL) aerial up he did not position it for the Winter Hill Transmitter it is pointing to Wales And another thing Eddie!! have you got something against the over 75's why should we not get it for free.
