I think they're great and not overly keen on moving to blankies etc, so I'm hoping we can find more for his next age bracket (18-24). he's such a wee wriggler and mover in his sleep (as most are at that age), I think he'd constantly be waking up cold or uncomfy if he had sheets and covers etc. He can do 360s in his grow bag without any problems.
Hi.
A 'grobag' is a baby sleeping bag with a tog rating. It stops the need for any form of bedding in a cot as baby stays nice and warm all night and there is no risk of covers etc being kicked off. Baby just needs light night wear underneath depending on tog rating and time of year. They can be used from birth until 6 years (can't see a child of that age being to happy about that though) as the biggest size available is 3/6 years.

No, we never use a quilt with the grow bags. In summer we used one with a lower tog (of 1) and in winter we use a 2.5 tog. With our wee guy in that, his PJs (or sleepsuit when he was very wee) and a vest, he seems just fine. Actually as the chimney breast goes up thru his room, we have to watch it doesn't get too warm for him. I note the Gro Bags on kiddicare are 2.5 tog only, but as he's getting older he can regulate his own temp. better, so they should be fine for him.
