We have a patio door that has been forced open (because the key was lost) the lock is on the BOTTOM of the frame, the normal way of opening the door is to unlock the lock with the key, the patio door is pulled forward with a swing handle and then lock plate drops and the door slides out of the lock. Has anybody got any ideas of who may be able to repair this lock - the patio door is a german design we think.

If you were to post a picture of the lock, along with the name of the manufacturer ...
It might help ... there are quite a number of German locking systems.
Could now cost you more to repair or replace than getting somebody to open and make you new keys in the first place. £75 - £95 local to me.

Sounds like a tilt and slide, loads of makes, most of them German.
