I've got my Sky box plugged in to telephone line. There's lots of excess cable bundled behind the tv.

I'd like to cut the cable, remove the excess and re-connect.

Is this easy to do and what connecting block would I need to buy

Easier to find a shorter cable.
You only need two wires connecting (pins 2&5 at source)

roll the excess cable up and secure with a couple of cable ties not perfect but cheap and neat
Get rid of the cable, Sky always insist on a telephone cable when they install a box but you don`t need it
