Wall sockets 13 amp
1 Answers
I had a strange experience a few days ago with a double point wall socket. I have my PC & all the "extras" that go with it)/ Modem/and a lamp which has a timer switch. About the time for the lamp to come on, I heard a "clicking "sound from the lamp and it was struggling to stay on. At the same time my printer was making the noise you get when about to perform!! Then all the pc gadgets went off along with the modem!! Thinking I had a fuse problem I switched the pc socket to "off" and lo and behold the modem came "on" !! Obviously something was at fault so I switched everything off from the double socket .I then took power from across the room using an extension cable and was pleasantly surprised to see everything working. On checking the double socket with another appliance, neither socket was working. I believe that there is no fuse in the wall socket, so what has happened behind the plastic cover??
