can anyone help me with what size curtains i need please? My window is 354cm wide and i need a drop of 147cm. Because it's so wide, i don't really want metres and metres of fabric (when it comes to washing them). So, i thought i would buy two pairs of narrower curtains.
Now i've got in a bit of a tzzy! Do I still double the width, for the gather? Or do i not, because I'm doubling the curtains??

Yes I would still double the width - curtains without enough gather are a no-no!!

i don't want to sound thick - but i will! So am i looking for a pair of curtains that say on the packet: 354W x 147D?
It still sounds like lots of fabric!
The width on the packet is per curtain, so e.g. 90x90 you have 2 curtains at 90inches wide and 90drop.
