i have a kenwood dishwasher and keeps stopping half way through the wash and get a code e4 flashing ive been reading through google posts and a lot of people saying tip the dish washer back 45 degrees and water will come out of the bottom..ive done this and hey it works fine again..but then a few days get the fault again so have keep tipping it back etc anyone know how it can be fixed so i dont have to do this etc thanks
well a similar one on a Ficher and Paykel was to cut back on the powder/gel as the 'soap' can flood the sensor......it took a really good repair man to tell us that - and he came from over a 100 miles away, once we had contacted their HO in New Zealand.....
Have a look in the manual, it will give you some simple trouble-shooting options - or contact them via their website if you don't still have the manual - have a look here http://kitchen.manual...her_product_list.html
Repairing dishwashers is extremely time-consuming and fiddly.
I would look for leaks and the level sensors. Taking it to bits would be a good start.
Then you would test the sensors with a multi-meter.
You 'might' get parts here. http://www.partmaster...th=67231&shop=kenwood
It usually gets messy get a pile of old towels tip it on its side remove base usually a screw at each corner stand back upright on some blocks of wood or something as high up as possible. Start a cycle lie down on floor with a torch look underneath and hopefully you'll be able to see where its leaking from. Unfortunately thats only the start you then have to sort out the leak
