Impulse or spare of the moment buying....

Apparantley, studies suggest that more and more of us are buying things on a whim or on impulse.
Has anyone ever bought anything on a whim that was a big regret or that turned out to be the best thing you ever bought. e.g - A car, something for the house, a holiday, clothes, jewellrey etc....

It seemed like a brilliant idea at the time! I thought I would become one of the 'park community',spend lazy weekends beside the lakes, enjoy long walks along the River Nene etc.
Within three weeks I had completely changed my mind! I only stayed there twice. I'm not a drinker or a social animal so I didn't get on with the other owners who were mostly boozy, clubby, party types. I realised Billing Aquadrome is a dump and there's nothing worse than being in a caravan in the pouring rain (it's clammy, musty and the rain drums on the roof like a tin can!) I also realised the park owners completely changed their tune after I'd bought the caravan and they announced they were upping everyone's ground rent by whatever they liked and if you didn't pay in a week they would start legal proceedings.
After a few months I sold the caravan back to the park at a substantial loss. Never again! I'll never go near Billing Aquadrome again either!
