Most of my electrics have gone in my house. A couple of plug sockets are working like the ones connecting my PC and TV but nothing else is working. I've checked the box under my stair and all the switches are on so there hasn't been a short circuit or tripped switch or whatever its called. I can't get the boiler to work so I've got no heating and I've got a 7 month old to keep warm and fed.

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Thank you

Well good job you didn't Anne. I would have been charged a call out fee for the embarrassment. Lol
My electric went off last week - like you I went into a total panic. Eventually it came back on - it is such a relief to know that everybody's power is off and it isn't just your own.

Now better go and get my breakfast.

It was a tripped switch in the end. There are 2 switches which control half the electris each so it was just one of them that had tripped.

Anyhoo, panic over :o)
I just logged back on to Answerbank to make sure you were ok! You and baby have a good Christmas.

Thank you Grasscarp, you have a good one too xxx
Check the system systematically.First unplug all connections and check whether current comes to home or not, if comes then check other parts.
I think they sorted it last Sunday.
