Weather station

Not too sure where to put this. Bought my dad one of those weather stations for xmas...only a cheapie from Argos but we're having a few probs setting it up.
Now i'm not sure if anyone has this particular one....it's a "precision radio controlled weather forecaster with wireless sensor" It cost about £30 from Argos and is a full colour one.
The problem is, i can't get the main unit to connect to the remote sensor (the bit that goes outdoors) and therefore, no outdoor temperature is being displayed.
Both units are working but nothing's happening with the temps. Anyone have any ideas ? There's 3 channels to choose from and i've tried them all but still nothing....i don't know what im doing wrong.
Thanks in advance

Try putting the sensor on the windowsill and the station just inside and see if you can get a reading then move sensor and station about until no reading comes up. By the way, the radio controlled time is put up to date once a day (mine is 2am).
Hi I don't have an aswer for you but I have been bought the same one for Xmas and I have exactly the same problem. I have tried the sensor right next to main system, a few feet away, outside etc. but still wont register the sensor. I have tried changing batteries in the sensor (both sets brand new). The sensor is flashing red light periodically but not sure what this means. Should the sensor light be on all the time?
If you find the answer, please let me know and I will do the same if I find the answer.
Kind regards

Hi hammerman
I have since found out a resolution for this. As explained in my previous reply I had the same problem. I pressed and held in the "reset" button for 10 secs and then it appeared to automatically register. I suggest you try this in the first instance. Do you have a have an intermittent red light flash on your sensor. If not, I suggest that initially you change the batteries in this.
Best of luck
