I had trouble sleeping so bought a memory foam pillow. It is the hardest, most uncomfortable pillow i have ever had. Am I doing something wrong as I have heard that they are good for helping you to get a good night's sleep.

I bought one and it was like a brick! I bought a much softer one from Ikea (and cheaper) but still only use it when I'm watching tv in bed.

it's the same with the mattress toppers. you have to get the right one for your weight.
I think its an individual thing, I bought one and found it uncomfortable, yet my mom thinks they are wonderful, she did say you have to give them time..
I had a latex (too hard) mattress, and the rubbish memory foam pillow. I remember saying it was like sleeping on the road with my head on the kerb!
a load of hype put out by sadistic people. They are like rocks.
No maggie you are not doing anything wrong. IMO they are useless. I bought two and in the end gave them away. Waste of money, which I hate doing. I went back to feather pillows, lovely and soft.
lol sara, I had awful neckache the next day, I cant cope with them long enough to break them in
We got the pillows with the tempur mattress and neither of us could sleep with them. Love the mattress but the pillows have been in a cupboard for years. They're probably OK if you lie still on your back all night.
Memory foam pillow? Do they aid in increasing ones memory?
Wish they did society, they might be of some use then.
so glad i didnt buy one then.... ive just bought some christy ones are these any good as ive not tried them yet
What are they made of? If another form of memory foam doubt if they will be any good.
I've got the mattress and I love it, but the pillow is only any good for reading in bed. It's completely impossible to sleep with it - it's like having your head devoured by a giant, rock hard marshmallow!
but you can get softer ones..
i have been using them for years,i thought they might help the pain in the back of my head, and it does work also gives me good support when i read in bed,i would'nt change them.
I got mine on sale sara, so I don't think there was a choice. I don't know why I bothered anyway - I only ever use a feather pillow when I sleep and it's still too high for me sometimes :)
I can't find a comfy pillow. I dread to think how much I've spent on them over the years!
horrible horrible things, it feels like sleeping on a brick.i persevered for two weeks and woke up every morning with numb ears.
Me too sara - if is galling when hotel pillows are fabulously comfy then you find you can only buy them if you order in bulk from a hotel supplier <<surreptiously stuffing pillow in suitcase, as if>>
lol, I had a lovely pillow in Turkey :o)
Sara3, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's spent a small fortune on pillows. My OH has threatened to burn the lot if I get any more!
I've tried every type going, best (or least bad) is feather and down; at least I can give it a good thump into shape. I still have neckache every morning though.
