You could always try a scattering of sand??
JEYES FLUID - (copied from the tin)
PROTECT YOUR PETS FROM HARMFUL PESTS AND NEUTRALISE ODOURS BY CLEANING AND DISINFECTING KENNELS, HUTCHES AND STABLES ON A REGULAR BASIS, CAN ALSO BE USED IN PIGEON LOFTS.
APPLICATION. AFTER CLEANING OUT, WASH DOWN WITH 65mls PER 5 LITRES OF WATER, ENSURE ALL PREMISES ARE DRY AND WELL VENTILATED BEFORE RETURNING BEDDING AND ANIMALS!!!

yeah it's poisonous to cats/humans/dogs/birds/the H1N1 virus/etc etc ...but hey, don't let them drink it, same as you wouldn't let them drink bleach, which strangely enough is also poisonous to cats ... jeez.
Salt is poisonous too.
Best stop sprinkling it on the slugs
buy a bag of soda crystals from the supermarket for about 90p, make up a strong solution in water and put it over you path, it kills moss, so after a few days sweep it with a stiff brush.
My sis used to bathe her dog in jeyes fluid, he lived to age 14.
