Washing machine smells

Noticed damp smell from washing machine three years old. Tried a sanitizer no luck. Any tips please

Run a hot wash with nothing but an old fashioned washer powder that has bleach in it and then leave the door ajar between washes after that.

I always leave the door ajar after washes. Also the detergent drawer which I wash out regularly. Ive never run a programme without washing in though. but never had any problems yet and my washer in 30 years old !

A cup of white vinegar into the drum then run the hottest wash programme with no load in.

Are you sure the smell is from inside the washer? Could you have a small leak somewhere?

I use Soda Crystals every couple of months. Just empty into the drum and set to hottest wash cycle. Have you tried cleaning the filter?

i always leave my door open afterward too for a while, i also empty out the filter regular then put it on highest heat wash with nothing in so give these tips a try and see what happens

My wife always leaves the door open overnight,same with dishwasher,but she does take things out of them and clean them as well as using the proprietary aids to keep them clean
