hey ab peeps.............i have broken my cookers glass door....doh....i have a nearly new gas cooker in my garage ,its been covered over ...the big question is can i use it again after it's been in my garage(about a year).........thanks lee

Of course.
Just take the burner tops off and make sure clean.
The bayonet fitting hose should fit ok if both are recent.

Just to add that strictly speaking you can't, legally, swap them over yourself, you need to get a certified gas engineer to do it.
The regulations (The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998) state that a person who who works on gas or gas fittings must be competent to do so. (Nowhere in the regulations is the word 'competent' defined)
For your own safety, you should be competent to unplug the bayonet and replug new one. You should also test for leaks using a proprietory leak testing fluid.
PS
If any part of house is used for business purposes (incl letting) then that is a different matter, and you should consult a qualified gas fitter.
