...opening for business on a Sunday when today
...me and my OH went to buy carpet for our stairs and landing. Its a small family carpet shop we've very happily used before. There was only one member of staff and she said she wasn't too knowledgable as she only worked every other Sunday. If it was a gift shop or a corner convenience shop it wouldn't matter who manned the till on Sunday but a customer for carpet needs advice and help with measurements, quantities, qualities, advice on wearable areas, types of carpet, underlay, etc..etc..
btw..we wouldn't normally shop for this sort of item on a Sunday but on this occasion we had no choice.

I think thats shows foresight on the behalf of the owners at least they are attempting to compete.
Did she act like she didnt have a clue or at the end of the day was she pleasant to you or dismissive?

Dris ...as we entererd she was on her mobile and stayed there for at least fifteen minutes. She was not unpleasant or rude or in any way offensive just totally ignorant of her subject ie. carpets and what the company had to offer. For her to be there it must have cost more in heating and lighting than could ever have been gleaned in sales for the day.
