Hi, I need to refill a period soda syphon, to be used in the Noel Coward play "This Happy Breed".

The syphon is used a lot in the play, so I have to find a way to fill it.

Does anyone know who I can contact, please?

I suspect it is a specialist area, as the top does not unscrew, being highly pressurised....

Thanks.

I know that they are still made. You could try contacting Coca Cola/Schweppes or Britvic. The Britvic place is in Chelmsford, Essex. Hope that helps.

I have a similar problem with a soda syphon in our next production "Look, No Hans" by Chapman & Pertwee.  I have obtained a BOC Sparkletts soda syphon from a flea market, which lacks the CO2 amplett holder.  With some ingenuity, I have been able to charge this using compressed air up to 40 psi, giving some limited evacuation of the bottle.  Although this isn't ideal, it's a step in the right direction.  I would be interested to know what pressure the vessel will withstand.  Any idea where to get the amplett holder from?
