Japan Nuclear Radiation in Glasgow

Low level radiation has been detected here having travelled over 5700 miles. Other places in the UK will probably experience low levels of Radiation as well. Compared to Chernobyl there should be no danger to the British Public at the moment.
North Wales Hill Farms and the Lake District are still contaminated after the Chernobyl disaster 25 Years on and the livestock are still monitored, a far worse scenario than what has occured in Japan so far. Chernobyl to North Wales is approx 1500 miles.

It's iodine, it has a half life of about 8 days so it's hardly a risk or a long term problem.

I was yomping in the Lake District during the Chernobyl disaster and although they were worried about the sheep at the time none of us have started to glow or fall to bits. Admittedly I refused to drink the water from the streams.

How do they detect radiation in both Glasow and Wrexham, both are naturally nuclear to begin with - after all look at the folk who live there.
