sky connections

Hi , just bought sky+ box to replace ordinary sky,however cannot arrange connections so everything works, have samsung freeview box and daewoo dvd recorder. the old sky box used to be connected to the freeview but sky tell me that the sky has to be connected directly to tv. as a result the dvd no longer works, have tried connecting dvd to remaining scart on sky box but then loose sky. HELP !!!!!

Thanks ChuckFickens, what a fantastic web site , the only problem is that there is no facility to include a freeview box, it is either freeview or sky box not both !!!!!

Hi , Sony kv-29f1u, not the most modern but it was ok with the ordinary sky box.

OK, try...

SKY box connected to scart1 on the TV.

DVD recorder connected to SCART2 on the TV

freeview box connected to scart2 on the DVD recorder.

This should let you watch and record sky on the sky box on SCART1 and watch anything on a DVD or freeview on scart2

If you want to watch freeview turn the freeview box on and the DVD off and if you want to watch a DVD turn the DVD recorder on and the freeview box off.
