We have started the changeover today in Northants, so I've switched to the digital bit of the TV (digital built in...no freeview box). Even though my signal is still coming from Sandy Heath, the TV has 'decided' I want to watch ITV Central rather than ITV Anglia. I've looked through the station list and there are no other ITV stations listed (unlike on the analogue when you could switch betwen the two). So question is, how can I tell the TV I want the Anglia signal?

Your TV will pick up the strongest signal automatically and lock on to that. If the Anglian Tx is in line with Sandy Heath there's not much you can do really apart from realign the Rooftop Aerial if the Angles between the two are sufficiently far apart.
May need a different Aerial for each Tx. You could check on the website to see which Band Aerial they each use.
From what I saw on the local news though, can't you still get itv anglia on anologue for another 2 weeks - use that time to sort it out
Are you sure you are still on Sandy Heath? I am and i'm still on Anglia after the upgrade
yeah ditto (Rushden)
I just checked and you can get Oxford and Waltham from Northampton. Both of these are Central

Redman's answer has just made me think. About 7 or 8 years ago when they were having problems with Ch 5, they came out and tried to get you a Ch5 signal. A guy came out as we couldn't get it from Sandy Heath and put in another aerial aimed at Sutton Coldfield. I bet if I disconnect that aerial I'll pick up the ITV from Sandy Heath again. I'll have to make an expedition into the loft in the next few days! Thanks for the brain joggers chaps.
You can't.
One thing you can do is to fit a more directional antenna. Sandy Heath tx is more than 80 degrees direction difference in central Northants, so your existing antenna is receiving reflected signal from the rear reflector probably. First make sure you have the correct antenna for Sandy Heath and align if necessary.
You should be receiving Mux1 group on channel 27(SC) ... not 53(Oxford)
According to this webpage you should still be on Anglia West http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=TL204494
Are you sure your aerial is set to Sandy Heath and not a repeater or other transmitter?
OK .. Combined antennas.
You may find a combiner too. You should disconnect this and cable straight to the downlead from your SH antenna first. Then do an 'out of the box' scan.
If possible scan without antenna lead in .. That will delete all old stuff. Then rescan with lead back in.
In Northants you 'can' receive a few tx transmissions .. Oxford .. Sandy Heath .. Waltham ... OK?!
Have you tried watching ITV on channel 903
Agreed it will be there somewhere Denis .. not necessarily tho .. only if found during search.
However, he probably wants it neat ... on Ch 03

Thanks for all the advice. Tried 903 denis, but it came up unavailable. I'll have a trip up into the loft next week and disconnect the Sutton Coldfield aerial and see what happens.
