hairdressers burnt my hair ;-(

hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone can help. I had my hair curled on the weekend for a wedding by my hairdresser, she done it the way she always had every other time i go there by spraying it with hairspray and the curling it with the straightners. I didnt realise when i was in there but certainly did when i was out that all i could smell was singed hair. When i woke up in the morning my hair was all matted, so i showered and washed my hair, deep conditioned it and all that but all i can smell is singed hair (smells like perming lotion or something). Ive washed it again and again and the smell is still there....help! Am i going to have it all cut off? I spent loads of money growing and maintaing my hair, i had it all highlighted 3 weeks ago costing me £60!!!!

You must go back to the hairdresser and tell them. It's up to them to put it right.

If it was permed there might me a perming lotion smell, tho' it washes out with shampooing. Singeing/burning smell is more from hand dryer usage than hair damage. Hair matting maybe gum product that can be finger combed to untangle.
