First, a huge thank you to all those who helped me get my washing out last night, so very much appreciated.

I've been looking online for cheap spares to try and fix the broken door handle and have found what seem to be general door handle fixing kits for a number of models in my washing machine's range, including the one I have (W133S).

I want to make sure I get the right thing to fix it so wondered if any of you far more technically adept Abers out there could help me.

I've found one here...need to make sure I can get a silver one as per the machine as well, most listings seem to be for white only.

I've also taken photos of the broken door to check if the kit will fix the problem...I daren't order something which will be useless as money is a big issue currently.

Thank you for any further help.

So you going fix it route - but your image looks like it was broken into rather than opened - have you tried machine again empty?

I don't understand :( (I'm not good with this kind of thing).

It snapped off when I tried to open the door to get the washing out if that helps? I can't get the door to shut again as I assume I did something to the mechanism when I was trying to get the door open to get my washing out?

I have another picture of the back of the handle which came off, trying to upload it if imageshack will behave. I'm not sure I can see how it fixed with how I can see it (not that says a lot with it being me....) hence the checking before I buy something I can't use,
Jenna - would not buy anything untill you know what is broken - give it a run empty or with a couple of towels in it.

Ok, will see if I can get the door to shut somehow, get a gentle wash on - maybe my dressing gown which is now rather more black than pink after last night's efforts :)
new Jenna - realise money is tight - but you have to repair door - then to trace fault which stopped it opening last night - in all honesty I would consider a new one

No joy on the dial clicking round thing :( Just tried a quick wash.

Now got to try and get the door open again! I just assumed it was the door handle having snapped off which stopped the door from opening, is there likely to be another problem (apart from the other actual problem...sob)?

Honestly, there is no chance of me being able to buy a new washing machine anytime soon at all :(

If I can't fix it myself then I'll have to try and get someone to come out and look at it.
Hi Jenna - hopefully you have door open - I would order Door kit - this is company I normally use for that kind of stuff - but the ebay link looks cheap enough

Thank you :) A friend is coming round tomorrow to have a look and see if he will be able to fix it for me with one of the door kits. I've sussed the door release via bendy knife now too!

I seem to have (everything crossed) worked out how to solve the clicking round issue, seems like a common fault on my machine when I've googled. Just done the most successful straight through wash in a while without having to reset cycles. Have learnt how to "reset" it. Just need to fix the door and stop the spin banging and hope it holds out until I am a bit better off :)

Thank you so much for your help, it is much appreciated!
Thats no problem
