I've recently been going thorugh a bad patch and have been looking for some answers. I've been reading my horoscope on a daily basis and having been toying with the idea of speaking to a psychic. Today things come to an all time low and I decided to have a telephone reading. The lady was great and very accurate. I didnt give anything away and she got everything spot on. It's cheered me up no end. She read my past perfectly so I'm hoping that she has predicted my future correctly too. I'm currently having relationship problems and she has said it is a temporary blip that will all work out in a few months.

Princess I think its a clever way to bilk people out of their money. If you called me and I heard your tone of voice I could probably gather something from that. I'd be willing to bet that if you sat in the call center were these people work every woman that called would be having relationship trouble. If it works you can't say if was anything you did, or if you made it a self fulfilling prophesy. Your positive outlook could have a definite impact. If he broke it off you'd blame yourself not the psychic.

I don't rule out the existence of a "sixth" sense but being able to do it over hundreds of miles would be a pretty neat trick. Just my humble opinion.

^^What cowtipper said, only he said it much better than I could. Princess, think positively and everything will come out all right. If the one you are with at the moment is not "the one" then forget him and move on.

I've always been wary of them but alot of people I have recently spoken to have said how they had really good readings. She asked how I was and I said fine thanks and then she just got on with it. Didnt ask me any questions, she was just able to tell me everything that was going on in my life at the moment. Bizarre.

cowtipper has hit the nail on the head, a face to face one would be best, ask around where you live as I'v seen some really bad ones and only two brill ones.

Thank you for your answers. Its just easier said than done. I know that I need to get on with things and remain positive but its so hard when you love someone and I'm still looking for answers as its been a very sudden/confusing break up.

I just cant get over how this lady today knew everything about it.

I have had friends tell me how astounded they were when they saw a psychic and how accurate the psychic was, knowing details that no one would ever know. I listened to a taped transcipt of one of these "astounding" readings and found it to be quite generalised, it could have applied to me as well and many other people.

like horoscopes I would take them with a large pinch of salt

I went to a psychic night with some friends some time ago. It was quite a strange experience (she cried on me). I have to say she got one bit right about the specific month of a career change (came as a big surprise to me) but about the same time it was suggested I'd get romantically involved with someone I'd known all along but saw differently...still single :) There is a situation which could kind of fit into that but not quite in that way, hence the issue, too easy to try and make things fit!

Ah I went through the Sally Morgan site so hopefully thats I good place to receieve a reading. Time will tell.

Be happy in yourself and you will be happy. Other things can help but never depend on other people - whether relationship, friend or doris stokes double - to be the basis of that.

I sat down next to two women in a bar one night and described to them major events in their lives, how many children they had, the state where they were raised and about a half a dozen things that a stranger wouldn't know. I was drunk off my ass and had never met them before. How much of it was reading body language and voice, taking cues from their responses, and pure guesswork? I have no idea because I just said what I saw and thought. I don't claim to be psychic but I don't know how to explain it either.

Ii'm going to a Psychic night on the 18th of May, seemingly she only picks certain people from the crowd, people who 'she can read' I do hope I'm one of them, there is a few things I'd love to know!!

Derren Brown in his books completely debunks the ideas of these psychics and in his shows he essentially shows how it's done, it's just reading and suggestion.
The only way you can get what you want out of any situation is to make the play, don't sit around waiting for something just because someone claiming to be psychic told you it would, take the bull by the horns and do all you can to make your situation how you want it to be! If you get stuck and need advice, there's a whole variety of people on here with all kinds of experience. I do hope everything works out in your relationship, but you have to do it for yourself!

perhaps the poster who is worried about their uncle who is ging through tests will be pleased to know they will not show anything sinister.. now only someone for whom this is a possibility will pay any attention....and if it turns out that way they will think heavens to betsy how did she know that..... However if I say there is a poster whose real name is Amy and she is waiting for news about a job interview she had on thursday... I think in the care sector and she lives in Manchester and she will get the job there is less chance of it being correct ...so I am unlikely to make a predictoin with too many identifiers...So Amy Congrats anyway who ever you are ....
