Is it true that if you live in the Channel Islands you don't have the right to work in the EU? This doesn't affect me, but it seems interesting if it's right,

Strangely, Gibraltarians do! Though customs are involved when goods are imported or exported to and from the Channel Islands, the EU nevertheless allows them freedom of movement of goods. Again, strangely, they have freedom of movement and employment within the EU if they've been resident in the UK for five or more years. It's quite a mess.
