hi everyone, i bought a pair of shoes with embellishments on them from next on the 13th of april for a wedding costing me £45. I wore them for the second time last night for a meal out with the girls and when i got home i noticed that 3 of the stones have come off the front of 1 shoe and 2 stones off the other are loose. The receipt say's that they will refund or exchange items 28 days after purchase but doesn't say anything about after this date. Before i take them back i would like to know where i stand on this matter. Surely after wearing a pair of shoes twice this shouldn't happen? and im not happy at all. There's no way i could wear them again as these are big stones and are in the front, they look awful now. Am i entitled to exchange?

Speak to their customer service line. I recently had dealings with them and can't fault the way that they dealt with my call
Ps, why risk exchanging them? New pair may do same!

ok thanks, will do now xxx
Goods bought must be fit for the purpose, as described and of satisfactory quality under the Sale of Goods Act.
One would reasonably expect to get more than two wears from a pair of shoes, so you should take them back and ask for a refund.
Within the first 6 months of purchase the burden is on the seller to prove there is no inherent fault. After 6 months the buyer has to prove there is an inherent fault, so you have nothing to prove.

if i could get a refund then i will because although there gorgeous shoes, they dont suggest they are well made if they fall of after 2 wears. Think ill take a trip to next in the morning after work, many thanks for your replies xxx
The 28 days is a good will offer from the shop if you change your mind. It doesn't affect your statutory rights when goods are faulty outside this period, which has been covered by the posts above.
are they large rectangular brown faceted stones, on the strip up the front? sandals?

if so same thing happened to my friends pair so if say its a design fault, so dont get another pair
Dont take any rubbish...they broke simple. As long as they still sell the shoes in store they will replace or refund immediatley. If they no longer sell them they will refer you to head office...again most companies (large ones) take customer satisfsction seriously.
