Why is it some people say these tablets work, and others, say they don't? . Surely, our hearts all work in identical ways, so why are there differences ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.All hearts work in the same way, but not all heart problems are caused by the same thing, so beta blockers won't treat all heart problems for all people. I was on beta blockers for two years for an entirely different problem: what the neurologist described as a "chronic pre-migraine state". They seemed to work for me - at least I stopped passing out at the drop of a hat!
