For the first time in my life I have a gas oven to use. When I light the oven there are two large "wavy" flames at the back. Is this normal or should there be a uniform row of flame jets.
It is in my rented house but I'm sure has been well looked after and serviced regularly. Thanks.

Maybe the burner is dislodged?
What colour are the flames? Should be blue.
Have a look with a torch to see how the burner (nozzle assy) is located.
If it just lifts out like the old style burners, take it out, check clean and locate properly.

The flames are mainly blue but look slightly feeble although it does cook, albeit slowly. I'll check tomorrow Albags. Thanks.
