I am a messy bugger and seem to attract dirt whatever i seem to do. I spent a lot of money on some decent T shirts recently and for some reason, they have become stained with various substances.

But whatever we do, the stains just don't come out. We've tried soaking for 24 hrs in vanish and also using the spray stuff with some, but not much success.

We use decent washing powder and change brands regularly and have a decent machine (Bosch clasixx)

the stains can be anything from a bit of food to cooking oil splashes or guinness.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get them out

Thanks in advance

I don't know whether it will work but it's always worth trying those two old favourites , vinegar and sodium bicarbonate .
Take them to a dry-cleaner. They have special treatments.
The promise yourself you'll wear a bib when eating in future.
or de-solv-it, i swear by it, are you putting to much laundry in the machine ?
So I now feel the need to tell you a story. I went on holiday with friends and as I organised it all, they presented me witha bouquet and a present when we got home. When I opened the present it was a set of bibs as I had managed to spill on every t shirt I had taken with me.
Cant help with the stains though I have learnt not to pay a lot for my tops and when they get stained I just boil wash them and hope for the best.
I have found that the Amway pre-wash spray is one of the best I have used - we get food up our fronts quite often! - but Amway reps seem to be quite hard to find, these days.
LOL maclaren, that's brilliant!
Rub neat laundry liquid well into each spot making sure all fibres are saturated. Let rest for a ie till you remember, then in the washing machine as normal. This works for me on 30 degrees wash.
I must admit I did chuckle at the time boxtops and we are all still friends
OH has threatened to buy me one of those bibs with a shelf.
My first option with stains is to use the Vanish bar of soap rubbed in hard and then washed. Next option would be a Stain Devil designed for that particular stain. If nothing works and it's a white top or the stain is in a large white part of a top, I put the affected part in a diluted bleach solution. That never fails but you can't do it on coloured tops.
Have you tried washing normally then hanging them out in the sun shine? I have washed clothes that have come out of the machine still stained but after hanging on the washing line in the sun, by the time they are dry the stains have vanished!
I'm famed for dropping stuff down my T shirts ,tops .Or getting fat splashes when cooking .
A bar of good old fashioned Fairy Household Soap rubbed into the stain before washing will get rid of the most set in stains .
