X Factor or Pub - seriously?

Can anyone really be bothered with the X Factor ?

Tens of thousands of applicants ...

Hundreds of auditions ...

Thousands of spectators ...

Millions of pounds ...

Tens of millions of viewers ...

... all to find a handful of finalists who are almost, but not quite, as good as the singers in the last two pubs I've been to ?

Simon Cowell should save all his ££millions.

If he wants a genuine new musical talent, I could find him one for fifty quid and a bottle of white wine.

XFactor- the pub doesnt let me slump on a sofa with a brew whilst wearing my PJ's.

I think there is a simple test of these "singers".

Would you pay £60 to sit and listen to them sing?

If not ... they're not THAT good.

JJ, bobbiesox's thread is a pretty good place to listen to good music, singers. Mostly classical, but its been a good proms night..

I don't know how I feel about the talent this year. Everyone round here is rooting for Jade Richards.. don't know if you saw her but we come from the same "dive". I think i'm one of the minority that are actually a bit miffed about that comment :|

Another thread about x factor where peopel run it down.Myself and my partner have been pleasantly surprised by the quality and talent of some of the singers thuss far. It never bceases to amaze me that people will complain about a tv programme when there are now hundreds of channels to switch over to.
I can remember the days of just 3 tv channels.
