Royal mail Track and Trace?

I sold an item on ebay via track and trace but the buyer is saying that she hasn't recieved my item although it is saying that it has been delivered via the tracking number! obviusly been delivered to the wrong address but what do i do next as this is a first? cheers

What does the tracking information say? Was it signed for and can you find out who signed for it?

Could the buyer be trying it on?

Your Certificate of Posting has a Customer Service phone number on it. Call them, quoting the tracking reference number, to report the problem.

Thanks for your replies, no it was just tracking and no signature with it, how would i know if the customer was trying it on? she's got 177 feedback and all positive and she's mainly a buyer???

I will call the number tomorrow, how will i know who's fault it is as Royal mail are obviously gonna tell me that they delivered it??

Royal Mail may well have delivered it ok ... but to the wrong address .. their fault.
You sure they didn't get someone else to take for you .. as maybe before?

Thanks for ya replies, no ive asked he if anyone else could of taken it in for her but she is the only one living in the house. Im gonna get onto Royal mail today. Cheers

Could be a neighbour has taken it in though. I've taken things in for neighbours quite a few times so they don't have to faff going to the delivery office. I do wonder these days though how much of a good idea it is letting other people take things in. I imagine a fair amount of items of mail disappear that way.

If it was track and trace there will be a signature.
Anyway, if the buyer paid by PayPay just give the tracking number and that will be an end of it.
