Looked around the web but couldn't get a definitive answer. Can I soak my chair wheels in Sulf.Acid to remove/dissolve the hair (from my cats & dogs) that get
wound around the wheel shaft?

Sulphuric acid will attack most metals so it would dissolve the chair wheels or axle's as well as the hair. The only common metals Sulphuric acid will NOT dissolve are Aluminium and stainless steel. It will rapidly dissolve ordnary steel or Iron
What sort of chair are we talking about ? a wheel chair ? or an ordinary chair on castors ?
Do not use the drain...

sorry, not sure really, but think this will be harmful to your pets!........if they contact it, surely will be harmful to them!.....
Bit strong I would think, unless you intended to dilute it. Bit dangerous too, both to you when using it and maybe to your pets. Also what are the wheels made of - I think it could dissolve some materials.
Should be alright but a flamethrower would get the job done quicker.
I'd try some of the sink drain clearer. That's supposed to dissolve hair.
Or maybe a candle flame???

id get one of those little blow torches that chefs use and just burn it off ...assuming theres mo rubber or fabric near it
Wouldn't use any chemical means at all. Use physical means only- like a good stiff brush.
I'd use Immac............
I'd probably spend an evening resolving the problem by using a pair of sharp-nosed tweezers.
Unless you thoroughly rinse the castors well afterwards Jinx the acid will probably have some detrimental affect on whatever floor surface you have. Acid will quickly bleach and rot a carpet, stain wood etc.

///Concentrated Sulphuric acid is used in a variety of chemical reactions as a de-hydrating agent. So it dehydrates or completely absorbs water from any surface on which it falls. If it falls on the human skin, the portion of the skin exposed to the acid could experience severe burning sensation. So it is advisable to use gloves or long fillers(like ink fillers)to put some drops of the acid into a test tube etc..If you accidentally spill some drops of concentrated acid on sugar you will find that the sugar turns black. This is because the sugar gets charred and due to dehydration(removal of water molecule),only carbon is left behind.Carbon is a major component of sugar.

Inhaling the fumes can also cause serious lung damage.///
