///Concentrated Sulphuric acid is used in a variety of chemical reactions as a de-hydrating agent. So it dehydrates or completely absorbs water from any surface on which it falls. If it falls on the human skin, the portion of the skin exposed to the acid could experience severe burning sensation. So it is advisable to use gloves or long fillers(like ink fillers)to put some drops of the acid into a test tube etc..If you accidentally spill some drops of concentrated acid on sugar you will find that the sugar turns black. This is because the sugar gets charred and due to dehydration(removal of water molecule),only carbon is left behind.Carbon is a major component of sugar.
Inhaling the fumes can also cause serious lung damage.///
