Hello folks I came upon this system and fancy trying something simmilar using 40mm pipe brackets which will fit the lnbs ive already got . Will I need a switch or a splitter to feed either signal to the box ? Could the disCqu protocol somehow help ?

Highlight the URL and right click, marty, then paste into the details box, will that work?
^ ah, yes it did!
What size and type of dish are you using?
At least an 80cm if you want to receive two adjacent satellites with one on a bracket.
The more of the arc you wish to receive, the larger the dish diameter needs to be .. Large Offset dishes are quite good for this .. as there is no shadowing of dish by bracketry and lnb masses.
I must say I was doing this in 1991 : )
Yes .. use a Global switch .. 0-12v trigger from scart or a DISEqC switch (so long as operating system supports it)

Al , basically I was just trying to think of away to use the lnb instead of throwing it in the bin . I don't think 19e and 28e would be too far apart ... saying that its only a 60cm dish so probably no good then ! Can just imagine you up the ladder in your acid house smiley face t-shirt ....
lol

Mine's a 1.4M Triax Prime in green with a quad universal C120 Invacom on a motorised mount going from 27.5W to 42E .. ish.

You really need an 80cm at least for Astra19/Eurobird28, preferably a 1M Triax solid.
(Billabong these days mate)

Cheers Al , sounds like quite a set-up you've got there . Might give it a go anyway
Yeah .. They're powerful signals.
Maybe try angling 'both' brakets so dish is pointed inbetween somewhere!
